Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Department: Facilities & Maintenance
Reports to: General Manager
Location: Kelowna, BC
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm or as required
Job Purpose:
To ensure the continuous operation of all manufacturing equipment and to facilitate all construction projects, including managing of personnel and contractors.
Job Description & Duties:

Schedule maintenance personnel to ensure there is adequate maintenance coverage
·
Complete and approve payroll submissions
·
Ensure preventative maintenance procedures are followed and completed for all facility and production equipment including the following: roof top units, air handling units, purified water system, encapsulation lines, inspection lines, packaging lines
·
Ensure breakdown maintenance is performed safely and efficiently
·
Ensure that all onsite contractors work on projects in a safe and timely manner
·
Ensure adequate training and equipment is provided and/or available to complete maintenance tasks safely and efficiently
·
Order parts and equipment to support maintenance and production
·
Prioritize projects and PM (preventative maintenance) to maximize production
·
Responsible for ensuring staff follow
c
urrent Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as other work procedures and company policies
·
Observe and enforce all company and department safety policies as outlined in the company policies and training sessions
·
Work with other departments to ensure employees receive all required GMP training and follow GMP guidelines, receive training on applicable SOP and WP (Work Procedures) and receive all safety training
·
General maintenance of existing equipment, including replacing parts and lubrication
·
Analytical readings of boiler area, cooling tower and glycol
·
Accurately logging of all repairs and maintenance of equipment
·
Coordinate the installation of new equipment
Requirements:
Technical:
·
Engineering Degree (preferably in Mechanical or Civil Engineering)
·
Minimum 5 years experience in a Food or Pharmaceutical/Nutraceutical Manufacturing Environment and familiar with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA)
·
Good working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, pipe fitting, welding, mechanics and HVAC systems
·
Knowledge and experience in process equipment
·
Computer literate
·
Hands on mechanical and electrical aptitude
·
Good English communication skills, both verbal and written
