While most North Americans eat too much of the omega-6 oils found in meats and most vegetable oils, they suffer a relative deficiency of the omega-3 oils. Contraindications

• Because fish oil supplementation may reduce platelet stickiness, it may also increase the risk of bleeding in patients taking anticoagulant drugs like Coumadin^® and platelet inhibiting drugs like aspirin and Ticlid^®.
